The best canoe rental companies in Vallon Pont d’Arc, in partnership with the Pont d’arc Ardèche Tourist Office and the Gorges de l’Ardèche reserve, have set up an application allowing each customer to know the estimated attendance of the river. This collective work aims to promote a spread of canoe flows over the week, between the different courses, but also over the day and thus allow as many people as possible to have a most satisfying canoe experience. With Canoe Malin, a holidaymaker present in Vallon pont d’Arc will be able to choose, even in high season, time slots where the attendance of the river is theoretically lower.

Like Bison Futé, a 3-color code has been set up for the days of the week:

• Green – Uncrowded
• Yellow – Fairly frequented
• Orange – Frequented
• Red – Very frequented

In each day, time slots of 1 hour between 7am and 5pm have been created and use this color code. Concretely, it is possible to have a day classified orange, but with for example a time slot between 8am and 9am classified green and vice versa. This classification is available in 3 tranches depending on the chosen course. The first part corresponds to the upstream part of the Maxi des Minis course with the canoe slides; the second to the Mini Descent of 7 km and the third to the course of the Gorges de l’Ardèche reserve of 24 km.
